Camellia Black is a lifestyle tea company that specializes in selling African teas. The company puts emphasis on featuring African style blends and spices representative of the larger diaspora. The company has launched with an inaugural Mozambique black tea blend. By year end we will have multiple flavors available for purchase via our online store.
Founded in Brooklyn, the company will also serve as a hub for social, cultural, and volunteer events catered towards black and POC communities. To date, we have done two Tea cocktail events hosted by Ciao Evento and attended by patrons from BET, Decoded Advertising, and more. We have also been tapped as vendors
CamelliaBlack aims to release an African tea from as many countries as possible to really reflect a different tea culture than what people have been delivered. Historically tea has been associated with China, Japan, and later the UK. I aim to bring more visibility into the culture and traditions of Africa with CamelliaBlack.
