Description

“How I Became a Glass Beadmaker” I started in Fall 2019 as a student of UrbanGlass’ Bead Project and graduated in November 2019 as a Lampwork artist/glass beads maker. I create and sell glass-beaded items – from jewelry to writing instruments to household/kitchen/bar ware. What makes what I do unique is the art of Lampwork itself. It’s an art form that has been around for ages, dating back to 1st century bc in Syria, thereafter, spreading to Africa and Asia. Firing my own beads is a process that will never yield the look of mass production – each bead is uniquely made with a personality and characteristics of its own.
